Hong Kong. The wax idols have been displayed in five totally interactive
themed settings that are spread over three floors within in the complex.

famous.
Making of the Figures
Process of making the idols usually takes up to six months by a team of
20 people. A highly skilful sculptor from Madame Tussauds meets the
celebrity to minutely watch his/her body measurements. Every care is
taken to ensure that the wax idols reflect the personality of the
celebrity.
Next step is to make a clay model of the personality. Wax body is now
made using the clay mould. Specially designed and real human hair are
then inserted. Body is then coloured using a mix of oil, water and
acrylic colour. The idol is then fitted to fiberglass and dressed in
clothes often donated by celebrity him/herself to give it a realistic
look.
Making of an idol costs approximate HK$ 1 million.
